Are all the pieces made of Filigree?
At Joalharia do Carmo we exclusively sell Filigree jewelry from Portugal and all of them, without exception, are officially certified, displaying a hallmark and a certification label that prove their authenticity.
Where are the jewelry produced?
All our jewelry is produced in the North of Portugal, in the Artisanal Production Units located in Póvoa de Lanhoso, Gondomar and Ovar.
Do Joalharia do Carmo pieces have a guarantee?
All jewelry has a 2 year warranty. The warranty does not include damage caused by misuse or accidents, lost items, scratches resulting from normal wear and tear, and physical or accidental damage.
Do you have engagement rings?
Yes, we have several models of engagement rings.
How can I care for my jewelry?
There are many precautions you can take to maintain the appearance of your jewelry.
- Avoid contact with fresh or salt water, products or chemicals that may discolor or stain your jewelry.
- Do not wear your jewelry while washing your hands, bathing, sleeping or playing sports.
- Avoid subjecting your jewelry to strong or continuous contact that may cause friction and scratch or deform it.
- Keep in mind that sweat and the pH of your skin may influence the change or loss of color of your jewelry.
- When placed together, precious stones may scratch or damage each other.
- Store your jewelry separately, using the Joalheria do Carmo velvet bag to protect it.
- Silver changes its color over time due to oxidation, which can result in the darkening of the jewelry, without affecting its quality.
- Clean your jewelry gently with a chemical-free silver cleaning cloth to restore shine and remove minor tarnish.
How do I know my ring size?

Do they value or buy gold?
At Joalharia do Carmo we do not appraise or purchase gold.
Do you make arrangements on pieces?
Some jewels bear witness to the most beautiful love stories that stand the test of time and span generations. Joalheria do Carmo offers cleaning, adjustment and repair services for jewelry purchased in our stores, and you only need to present the purchase receipt.

Do you make custom jewelry?
A personalized piece of jewelry is always special. At Certified Filigree of Portugal everything is possible because everything is done by hand. Share your dream piece with us at geral@joalhariadocarmo.pt. Our consultants and craftsmen will do everything to fulfill your wishes.
SHIPPING AND RETURNS POLICY
Is it possible to make returns?
Yes. If your purchase does not meet your expectations, we offer the possibility of returning it. Returns must be made within 14 days of delivery date and the item must be in its original condition. We do not offer free returns. Personalized products, such as engravable products, cannot be returned. See our Exchange & Return Policy here.
Can I make an exchange?
For exchange purposes, items must arrive at our offices within a maximum period of 14 days after receipt. We do not offer free exchanges.
After receiving the items, you will receive a code (gift card) by email with the amount of your purchase, excluding shipping costs. After our analysis reveals that the parts have already been used or modified (excluding evidence), we will not accept the exchange. The items will be returned to the customer without prior notice.
Do you ship outside of Portugal?
We ship worldwide, with additional shipping costs depending on location.
ORDERS
Why haven't I received an order confirmation?
If you don't find your order confirmation email, please check your junk or spam folders. If this does not help, please contact customer service at +351 213 424 200 or by email at geral@joalhariadocarmo.pt, and we can resend your order confirmation email.
What if the item I received is damaged or defective?
We would like to emphasize that these are unique and special pieces with extremely delicate handcrafted production, so some pieces may have small flaws.
I placed an order, but I don't know where it is. And now?
First, check the shipping method you have chosen. then check regular delivery times here. We can only help you after we gather this information. If you prefer, you can send us an email to geral@joalhariadocarmo.pt.
Do your products have tax/VAT?
VAT rates for orders shipped to Portugal and Internationally are not included in the product price.
Taxes corresponding to the product price are added at checkout, depending on your shipping country.
